NDIS Audits
Audit Wise Group is approved by the NDIS Commission and JASANZ to undertake quality audits against the NDIS Practice Standards.
We offer both Verification and Certification Audits for NDIS disability service providers throughout Australia.
Verification Audits
Verification Audits are relevant to providers delivering lower risk supports and services to participants. No onsite visit is required as all Verification Audits are desktop audits.
Verification Audits include an assessment of the following outcomes:
Human Resource Management
Incident Management
Complaints Management
Risk Management
You will also need to supply evidence of qualifications, expertise and experience relevant to your registration groups and provide evidence of completion of the NDIS worker orientation modules.

Accept Proposal

You think that Audit Wise Group is the right fit for your audit needs and accept the proposal and terms and conditions
Audit Coordination commences

We provide you with resources and information to commence your document preparation
You are ready to progress to audit when you believe that your documentation is sufficient to meet the NDIS Verification Module Required Documentation
Verification Audit

Your self-assessment and documentation is reviewed by an auditor in a desktop audit
This includes Policies and Procedures across the outcomes and evidence of; qualifications, expertise, experience and completed worker orientation modules.
Audit Report and Recommendation

Audit Wise Group will provide you with your audit report with any areas of non-conformity identified
NDIS Commission Submission

We submit your audit report, evidence and recommendation decision to the NDIS Commission
The NDIS Commission reviews the report and evidence and make their determination
Registration

Decision on Provider registration can only made by the NDIS Commission
The NDIS Commission will notify you of their decision and any requirements or conditions of your registration
You may contact the Commission to request a review within three months of receiving the decision
Reverification

You must reverify within the three-year verification period to maintain your registration
Certification Audits
Certification Audits are relevant to providers who deliver complex supports and services to participants.
Certification Audits include an assessment of the NDIS Practice Standards and supplementary modules that apply according to the types of supports and services delivered to participants.

We work with you to book suitable audit dates
Certification Stage 1 Audit

Your self-assessment and documentation is reviewed by an auditor in a desktop audit
Any actions or non-conformities identified are reported to you
A Stage Two Certification Audit must be undertaken within three months of the Stage One Audit
Certification Stage 2 Audit

An onsite visit is undertaken to review and observe the implementation of your systems and processes, interview participants and staff and review documentation
The audit team will provide you with findings throughout the audit and give you an opportunity to provide additional evidence as may be required to support compliance
The audit team will provide preliminary findings and advise you of any areas of non-conformity if identified
You can review the report and provide feedback before it is submitted to the NDIS Commission
NDIS Commission Submission

Registration

If your registration is successful, you will be required to undergo a Mid-Term audit and recertify in three years’ time
Provisional Certification

If you do not have participants, Audit Wise Group will combine your Stage One and Stage Two Certification Audits reviewing your self-assessment and documentation
The audit team will review and observe the implementation of your systems and processes in anticipation of the commencement of participants
The audit team will provide you with findings throughout the audit and give you an opportunity to provide additional evidence as may be required to support compliance
The audit team will provide preliminary findings and advise you of any areas of non-conformity, if identified
You can review the report and provide feedback before it is submitted to the NDIS Commission
Mid-Term Audit

Mid-Term audits are required within 18 months of the date of registration of your Certification Audit
Audit Wise Group will make contact with you to ensure that the Mid-Term audit is conducted as required
Recertification

You will need to undertake a Recertification audit within three years of the date of your Certification Registration
